the other side of the pool

We are fascinated with the dynamics of water, the constant movement that creates an endless flow. The swimming pool is a place where we ex- pose ourselves, where individuals step out into the public. With this work we wanted to start a visual research for identity, between gender stereo- types. We are using a dynamic styling that is switching between gender norms. Sometimes it involves both male and female components at the same time.

The fashion pieces are a compilation from different fashion design stu- dents from The HAW (School of Applied Sience Hamburg). This project was developed in a fashion and photography cooperation and supervised by the professors Linn Schröder and Kai Dünhölter.
